Its influence first seeped upwards, maddening primordial leviathans into zealous worship and driving the Slithereen to frantic, instinctive hunts for a terror they could not comprehend. Great to see a hero that builds upon the established lore! On the topic of the ultimate, I must say that abilities that transfer the control of a hero to another are, in their nature, overpowered. It is not that it is a bad thing, but consider that Mind Control is effectively a better version of Bane's Nightmare and Batrider's laso... combined. I'd recommend giving the ability a creative drawback, like damage done to the mind-controlled hero being shared by Maelrawn. Either way, love the concept and hope your hero gets added to DotA 2!

Thanks for feedback! I always thought that the concept of controlling another hero is naturely overpowered, something like an instakill mechanic, etc. The balancing of the ability was a... how do I say this, journey. It went from an instant cast but would be canceled if the target received certain damage threshold, through the target having its abilities refreshed after the cast and ended with basically this, a channeled control in a certain area. What makes things even worse I realized that this cannot be balanced in any way because of how certain heroes would work. The controlled enemy would need to be considered a neutral so Nature's Prophet wouldn't just leave the game because of the Teleportation to the fountain, things would be ridiculous.

Is Mind Control a channeled ability? I like the concept a lot but I think there needs to be some safety required to cast it, similar to Bane ultimate.

The Ultimate is similar to Io's Tether, it basically allows the hero to be controlled but will be dispelled if tether breaks. I didn't know if bombarding the ability with nerfs would be a good idea without any critique, so I just left it like this for people to decide ("the first introduction to Monkey King way")
