Botanist has vast knowledge on the healing arts, being able to preserve life in a field or spring. Elderwood Tree provides overwhelming regeneration to allies. Botanist can still defend himself when needed. Capable crippling them with binding roots and ravaging them with ravenous garden. This scientist a powerful ally and a terrifying enemy.

Best Teammates:
Teamfight combos = Phoenix/Undying/Shadow Shaman/Juggernaut/Pugna. With field of spring, Botanist can keep all their ward units alive. In addition to slowing healing them.

Carries = With Elderwood Tree and Ravenous Garden, Botanist is a strong babysitter, with summons to harrass enemies and smart placement of elderwood tree can heal you and your lane partner.

Damage over time heroes= Heroes such as venomancer cannot out DPS his healing.
Low armour strength heroes= Ravenous Garden can deal high physical damage, scaling with maximum health.

Dr Alfred Yew, the Botanist is an estudious man passionate about botany. After witnessing the wonders of nature, he dedicated his life to becoming a botanist. To become a doctor Alfred Yew studied at the renown Elderwood University. Well known for their decidation to natrual sciences. Furthermore the university is the heart of the Elderwood Forrest, home to the immortal Elderwood Trees.

As a scholar of the Elderwood University he pioneered incredible advances over his career. Pushing boundries few thought were possible. Dr Yew aimed to help people with his research. He cultivated incredible plants such as the ravenous trapper and conjured magic spells calable of controlling the foliage around him. Dr Yew was also attentive to the conservation of the Elderwood Forrest, ensuring the forrest would continue to blossom.

Attaining great wisdom over the years unfortunately couldn't prevent Dr Yews body withering away. Dr Yews peers and proffessors would succumb to illness or old age. Dr Yew did not approve of watching his colleagues wisdom go to waste. Alfred pondered on the potential wisdom which could be gained with a longer lifespan. Still eager to learn and aware of his wilting body. Dr Yew spent his twilight years researching ways to extend peoples frugal lifespans. This way the scholars of Elderwood could gain profound wisdom which comes with longevity. He began looking to the elderwood tree's for answers, leading him to develop the Field of Spring.

Unfortunately Dr Yew only developed a powerful healing spell, he couldn't figure out how to grant longevity to himself and others. As his body withered away, decided to spend his final moments under the largest Elderwood Tree in the forrest. As he drew his final breath all turned to black.

Dr Yew's sould was flung into the narrow maze before being rapidly pulled out by a choir of roots. To his amazement he was ressurected by an improved field of spring. Dr Yew's body has undergone a partial metamorphsis with parts of himself resembling the Elderwood trees surrounding him. Dr Yew was unsure of what happened but he thankful to the Elderwood Trees.

With his increased longevity Dr Yew continued to amass wisdom, spreading his gifts of longevity and botany to fellow scholars and scientist alike.
