DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

A monstrous being that consumes everything living and valuable. Viscous Ooze is the master of farming and building towards the late-game, with the ability to consume items to gain permanent strength as the game progresses. Having the highest strength and the slowest movement speed in the game contributes to this hero's archetype of moving at a snail's pace, as its abilities inflict a slow death on all foes who dare challenge it.

Viscous Ooze is an award-winning concept that I implemented in a mod featured by Dotacinema. The hero idea has gone through several iterations, with this being my latest one.

Lore

In its world, life failed to adapt. Only ooze remains. An ancient planet once brimming with living beings was lost to a viscous black sludge. It would consume and preserve all it touches, gaining knowledge of all creatures and their instincts.

Upon the release of the Primal Beast, a curious interdimensional traveler looked for a way to end its savage destruction. However, this discovery would once again put life itself in jeopardy. Discovering the treasures of a more developed world, Viscous Ooze became sentient, fixated on consuming the highest forms of greed, hunger, and savagery.
