Of the Elder Gods that ruled the land before the Ancients, Tariaksuq was one of the primal ones. A creature born from a consciousness of pure dark, Tariaksuq dons a formless frame, hard to see in other creatures' eyes. He materializes as nothing but a mass of shadow, slithering across the night.

When the Flayed Twins made Xhacatocatl their home, Tariaksuq moved northward to the wintry fields of Iqaluit, where most of the people's lives are spent in the night and the few hours of daylight would only give them but a short reprieve. It is in this seemingly perpetual nights where Tariaksuq would thrive, lurking in the dark and cold, waiting for an unsuspecting victim to wander off.

Tariaksuq is a patient hunter, he inflicts the right amount of terror on his victim, scaring them out of their minds until they make that one rash decision to run for safety.
