DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

Skarbrand a durable and high damage melee strength hero who becomes stronger and stronger whenever violence is around, benefit both from getting kills and just generally having damaged dealt around him. His ultimate, if cleverly positioned, can be used to make enemy heroes attack each other, though it's most likely effect is just as an AEO taunt towards Skarbrand himself. Slaughter and Carnage is best used to open and end a fight, Skarbrand doesn't want to be left without axes while his target is still alive.

I tried to sprinkle a lot of the Khorne flavor in there. Skulls, blood, hating magic, the number 8.

Lore

Skarbrand, also known as the "Exiled One," the "Wrathful Reaper," or the "Drinker of Blood," is an Exalted Bloodthirster of Khorne, once the mightiest of the Blood God's Greater Daemons. His arrogance, hubris and sheer rage, secretly fanned by Tzeentch, grew so great that he actually attacked his Chaos God patron.

For this supreme transgression, Skarbrand had his personality and intellect excised by the Blood God, leaving only his rage. He was exiled from the Blood God's Domain and forced to wander the immortal and mortal worlds, where he seeks to atone for his sin and end his exile by piling thousands of new skulls upon the Skull Throne of Khorne.

Nobody knows how this greater Daemon entered the war of the ancients, but it must be part of his master's great game.

ITEM BUILDS

BUILD #1 - Offlane

INTENDED ROLES

Skarbrand is probably most at home in the offlane, though as an offlaner he's less focused on auras and more on damage. Max For the skull throne!, then max BLOOOOOD!!!. Get strength talent right away or get the +0.8 Slaughter and Carnage slow AFTER you maxed the spell and got the lvl 15 talent. For lvl 15 you can go for either talent depending on if you need more disable or more damage. For the level 20 talent get the talent that buffed the same ability you picked on lvl 15. And at 25 you want the BLOOOOOD!!! HP regen, though if you're going super well and are effectively carrying the game get the S&C damage talent. In an ideal game you go radiance, otherwise go echo saber into harpoon (this website won't let me add harpoon to the build yet). Radiance is great for getting high BLOOOOOD!!! effects, but Skarbrand really needs mana so after radiance you go back for echo saber harpoon. Then you go scepter, scepter makes BLOOOOOD!!! really easy to use, letting you benefit from it constantly instead of having to wait for the perfect time to use it. Shivas is also a great way to gain a lot of BLOOOOOD!!! damage and it really helps with his mana issues. AC is probably one of the best damage items for Skarbrand, and blink into overwhelming blink works great with his ultimate. Some of the situational items worth highlighting are silver edge, Skarbrand can use the mobility and the crit. Deso if the game is going crazy good and you're more of a carry, same goes with abyssal blade which could be a greedy item to upgrade your vanguard into. Blade male is once again an amazing item for getting high BLOOOOOD!!! effect. Greaves can help solve his mana problems. And lastly a Sange can boost the regen that BLOOOOOD!!! gives even further. His shard is more of a situational item if there is a really high damage enemy hero on the other team and you don't want to get bursted during your ult.
