Poxmonger is a melee strength hero who spreads fever and rot. He's got a combination of high magical damage and powerful slows that make him highly dangerous in drawn out fights. To make matters worse his fever takes away enemy magic resistance, speed, and healing, and gives it to himself, further making him toxic to be around.

Necrophos already is the disease hero. But he's more like an avatar of pestilence and a little too clean for my liking. Poxmonger embodies the grosses of disease. Bile, poxes, shivering fever, and decaying extremities.

The magic resistance gained from Parasitic Fever is not as overpowered as it might initially seem because multiple sources of magic resistance stack diminishingly in Dota. The stacking section in this (https://dota2.fandom.com/wiki/Magic_Resistance) wiki article explains how it works.

EDIT: changed the scepter. The old scepter used to be an active component for The Rot which dealt a burst of damage on all enemies afflicted by The Rot. If find this a very boring scepter in hindsight. The new scepter is a lot more interesting, massively improving Poxmonger's ability to proc The Rot instances by increasing the maximum channel duration of Expel.
EDIT: Buffed The Rot to be superior in damage to Lifestealer's Feast at max level.

Innate and Facet ideas for when the website allows for it:

Innate:
Revel in Malady: Poxmonger gains health regeneration for each enemy hero affected by one of his debuffs.

Facets:
Bile Bomb: Expel is no longer a channeled ability. Instead it launches a bile bomb, that debuffs an enemy with damage (4 instances) over time and a slow. Scepter triples the duration. Bile Bomb has a longer cooldown than Expel.
Rot Bloom: If an enemy has more than 8 stacks of The Rot Poxmonger gains a buff that grants him bonus attack speed.
