DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

Abomination is a melee strength hero who can significantly empower himself through mutations at the cost of his health. The constant damage he takes from his mutations empower his passive, making it all the more lethal. And he can quickly regain lost health by channeling Horrific Regeneration. On top of all of that he's got quite a solid stun that scales with his attack damage.

This is a rework of an old idea. The old version of Abomination had a fourth mutation (tentacles) which gave attack range and applied a slow on enemies he attacked, this wasn't worth the rather clunky mechanism that was used to select a mutation (using the D and F keys to cycle through mutations and using the R key to confirm the mutation). The rest of his mutations are identical, but the health cost mechanic changed. Instead of dealing a burst of damage to himself the mutations now constantly drain HP and have an indefinite duration. Horrific Regeneration is now an active ability instead of a passive. His old spell, "Pain", has been reworked into Agony. Crushing Embrace remains the same, but now deals damage based on his attack damage instead of his maximum health.

Update: Gave all abilities an extra effect when a respective mutation is active. Suggestion made by u/MadCows18
Update: Mutations may now be activated during channels without breaking the channel. Changed the Monster Arms mutation to deal a burst on initial cast instead of when the channel finishes so that you cannot enable monster arms last minute.

Man was never meant to have immortality. But that meant nothing to Dr. Perockill, how could he possibly continue to exist with his beloved son in the grave. Only 20 summers old, Jason was drafted into war and died on the battlefield. Dr. Perockill would not let cruel fate end his bloodline, and take his one and only child from him. And the good doctor had the means to bring his child back. Years he toiled until finally he perfected resurrection on rats, dogs, apes, and other animals. Now to finally use it on Jason's long decayed corpse held together with fresh flesh.
Whether or not the doctor actually brought back his son or created something else will remain a mystery, but that didn't matter to him. With open arms he welcomed his child back to the living world, and when his spine cracked under the strain of their embrace the good doctor smiled, happy in the knowledge he won't survive Jason a second time.
