DESCRIPTION & LORE
Description
This is a rework of an old idea. The old version of Abomination had a fourth mutation (tentacles) which gave attack range and applied a slow on enemies he attacked, this wasn't worth the rather clunky mechanism that was used to select a mutation (using the D and F keys to cycle through mutations and using the R key to confirm the mutation). The rest of his mutations are identical, but the health cost mechanic changed. Instead of dealing a burst of damage to himself the mutations now constantly drain HP and have an indefinite duration. Horrific Regeneration is now an active ability instead of a passive. His old spell, "Pain", has been reworked into Agony. Crushing Embrace remains the same, but now deals damage based on his attack damage instead of his maximum health.
Update: Gave all abilities an extra effect when a respective mutation is active. Suggestion made by u/MadCows18
Update: Mutations may now be activated during channels without breaking the channel. Changed the Monster Arms mutation to deal a burst on initial cast instead of when the channel finishes so that you cannot enable monster arms last minute.
Innate and Facet ideas for when the website allows for it:
Innate:
Reactive Growths: When Abomination takes damage to his health he gains a short duration shield equal to a portion of the damage he took.
Facets:
Relieve the pain: When Agony activates Abomination may activate it to trigger the effect early. This will require a rework of the current shard.
Burst Regeneration: Horrific Regeneration has a third of the channel time and mana cost, but only heals a third of the normal values. Horrific Regeneration now has 3 charges but it no longer dispels Abomination. Scepter uses normal Horrific Regeneration values.
Lore
Whether or not the doctor actually brought back his son or created something else will remain a mystery, but that didn't matter to him. With open arms he welcomed his child back to the living world, and when his spine cracked under the strain of their embrace the good doctor smiled, happy in the knowledge he won't survive Jason a second time.
