DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

This is a rework of an old hero idea.

Wild Avenger is a ranged universal hero whose spells change effects depending on elevation. For Wild Avenger the map is segmented into 3 distinct areas. River level, lane level, and high ground. At river level Wild Avenger becomes more teamfight oriented, summoning a crab with a damaging area of effect slow and disarm while gaining lifesteal effects and armor to sustain themselves and teammates. At lane level Wild Avenger becomes more mobile and reduces enemy mobility, slowing them and summoning a fast elk with a stun. At high ground level Wild Avenger becomes more DPS oriented, capable of applying damage over time to enemies, increasing his own attack range, and summoning a high damage cougar. Wild Avenger is not reliant on the terrain to give him the effects he wants, with his ultimate he can change the elevation of the land to suit his needs.

River and pit = on the level of the river and Roshan pit.
Low ground = level of the lanes.
High ground and cliff = level of radiant and dire base, elevated jungles, and ward spots.

Update: Changed Interloper Curse to always give the MKB effect. Now it deals damage on high ground only. This change was necessary due to Wild Avenger's ability to set enemies on a high ground even after Interloper Curse has been applied, which would be annoying due to high ground miss chance. Removed True sight on Terraform as this felt too powerful against wards.
Update: Slightly changed talents and cougar spells. Cougar now passively crits every 4 seconds and needs to use her active to become invisible. Changed shard bonus effect to no longer give increased duration but instead allow Wild Avenger to use elevation change even when he's silenced, disabled, or dead.

Innate and Facet ideas for when the website allows for it:

Innate:
One With The Land: 5 level passive. Will be re-scaled and be slightly stronger at max level.

Facets:
Memory of The Land: Animal companion can be put on alternative cast. When this is done it will remember what elevation type Wild Avenger is currently standing on. Wild Avenger may then summon the specific animal companion of that elevation type anywhere.
Attributes of The Land: River and Pit doesn't give armor but instead gives Agility. Low ground doesn't give health regen but instead gives Strength. High Ground and Cliff doesn't give vision range but instead gives Intelligence. Changes level 25 talent always give animal companions lifesteal, movement speed, and attack range regardless of elevation.

Lore

Whenever nature is in peril the Wild Avenger arrives to fight back. The animals themselves align with his fury and in great hordes drive off the invaders. And when the animals aren't enough the very earth itself will rise up to strike at the enemy.
Or so it used to be... Civilization has grown too mighty. Villages crop up like tumors, cities devastate the land for miles and miles. Forest gives way to farmland. And so the Avenger is forced to fight a losing guerilla war against the civilized people's of the world. But Ancient voices promise to return the untamed wilds...
