DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

The deep seas are no place for the weakling. The struggle for survival against all kind of creatures from sea-singing assassins to monstruous leviathans makes it most likely to emerge only the most peculiar freaks to ever feel the refracted sunlight of the sea surface. One of these creatures got to gaze at the Sun for a long while, a humanoid octopus. Known as Octoskirm, the Skirmishing Octopus, this individual wields 6 swords with such prowess that only the most desperate of times could have something to achieve so. Carrying his natural ability to produce ink, Octoskirm may Spit Ink to impair foes from acting against him, and if they manage to avoid it, Spilling Ink around the Octopus also proves to be an efficient way to get opponents distracted. With his mastery over Sword Wielding, Octoskirm may use his Six Swords Thrust to pierce the enemy with all the might of six sharp and heavy blade, brutally hurting them. As if so much offensive power wasn't enough, having 6 arms still gave it an absurd advantage, where Octoskirm goes into his Six Swords Defense mode, using some of its arms to block attacks from every direction, while his other free arms are ready to retaliate.

The main focus on Octoskirm is his ability to burst down a single enemy using heavy physical damage. Using Dagger + Ink Spit + Six Swords Thrust may likely eliminate a single target in seconds without giving them any reaction, due to the silence and disarm Ink Spit provides, and if the target is disabled, chances to hit all the 6 hits are higher. It becomes more efficient after getting Scepter Upgrade, preventing the Target from using even items, having to relly on their allies to save them. Alternatively, Octoskirm may work as a sustained damage dealer using Skirmishing Octopus, where his basic attack becomes 6 instances of physical damage dealing 1/6 of his total attack damage, but fully proccing on hit effects, for 2 attacks (4 with Talent), resulting in 12 (24 with Talent) attacks each dealing 16,66% of Total Attack Damage (25% with Talent) + 5/10/15/20 Physical Damage in the same ratio as if he would attack twice dealing 100% (150% with Talent) of his Total Attack Damage. As Offlaner, Octoskirm may play around his Ultimate, which grants immunity to Auto Attacks and Projectiles (abilities such as Vengeful Spirit's Magic Missile, Sniper's Assassinate, etc, are fully blocked, while abilities like Lion's Earth Spike, Mana Drain, Hex and Finger of Death, which are not projectiles, fully go through it), and build Magic Resistance items and other Team Oriented Items, becoming a living physical wall, while being able to unleash chunks of damage building Shard and unlocking the right side of the Talent Tree. While Octoskirm is exceptional dealing with Single Target, specially when he is snowballing, he peforms poorly against crowded enemies, his only source (and totally unreliable) of dealing with multiple enemies is the Scepter Upgrade, which may silence and disarm enemies near the main target, while the main target is silenced, disarmed and muted (unable to use itens). Illusions are his nightmare. His poor Stats gain and attack speed means that he won't be dealing too much damage except from on-hit effects from Mjolnir and Monkey King Bar proccing in Skirmishing Octopus. Enemies that stack armor also won't be as much affected by Six Swords Thrust as some other fragile Intelligence Heroes.
