DESCRIPTION & LORE
Description
Force Quit is a decent setup tool. Typical sleep and banish disables have the problem of wasting the duration of other debuffs on the target. Force Quit can reserve some of that disable time, but only for you unless you choose the right facet.
I foresee Payload requiring some skill as it lets you actively cycle through Implant Bug's list with just 1 ability if you want a specific debuff or stack the same one. It will also look cool as the cube constantly changes color. However, it does require time which can be bought by her other spells. If you want to cast this ability immediately, you can turn off this mechanic with Alt-Cast. Just remember to turn it back on later!
Overlay Network is good for initiation, but is also a powerful follow up tool once you have applied a few debuffs on it. While the damage can get high, the true power comes from spreading typical single-target debuffs to multiple enemies. While this is limited to her own debuffs without the facet, this can spread debuffs from her items like Scythe of Vyse. While the spread is large, there is a delay so enemies far away enough from the primary target can possibly escape. You can combo Q and R to banish multiple targets if you time it such that the bullet hits them while stunned. While shooting after stunning makes sense, it will be hard to do this combo from far range since the travel speed is slow relative to the short stun duration. Shooting first and then using the ultimate can be harder to hit the target but more reliable for the combo.
Her innate is honestly just for fun and adds some tactical choices. For facets, Incessant Rain enemies die quicker once they succumb to enough of your debuffs. Before the Mission Starts lets you work coordinate better with your allies since you are not really in charge of hard disables. If another ally disabled an enemy so that your Q can hit, they will appreciate this. The ultimate can make for great combinations, but won't work with certain disables like stuns or crazy debuffs like Doom. While her Scepter upgrade looks basic, it is much scarier. Since it deals damage to secondary targets, it can now trigger the same Implant Bug on them to stack it. Since it hits the primary target as well, they will also get a 2nd stack. Shard is great for more tactical Payload fun. For talents, the left side is generally for more utility while the right side is for more damage.
Lore
Silver Wolf is a playable character in Honkai: Star Rail. A member of the Stellaron Hunters and a genius hacker. Silver Wolf has mastered the skill known as "aether editing," which can be used to tamper with the data of reality. Hence, she always views the universe as a massive immersive simulation game and is eager to clear the stages awaiting ahead.
Author's Note: One of my favorite game characters is Silver Wolf from Star Rail, from aesthetics to gameplay. A reality hacking gamer girl who debuffs enemies to hell and back. This is for a Crossover Hero Contest, so might as well translate her here with all the stat reductions she offers. In that game, her cube skill grants elemental weaknesses which is unique but clearly can't apply to DotA. So, I incorporated the debuff cycling for you to choose which debuff you want to mimic the way it creates new weaknesses for enemies.
Changelist:
26/11/24 (Focus on debuffs over damage)
- Implant Bug can no longer be broken. Values increased at lower levels (Increase early contribution) and decreased at higher levels (At which point it is easier to stack them anyway)
- Allow Changes renamed to System Warning. Now deals damage over time instead of flat damage
- Force Quit now only hits 1 target to lower farming
- Payload can now specifically be reactivated early to lower confusion about channeling. Damage reverted to flat and lowered cooldown. Shard now increases its size while channelling
20/11/24 (With thanks to TheGreatGimmick and Johnmegaman72)
- Implant Bug now innate. Defense reduction changed to total reduction instead of base. Health restoration now also deals damage (Less pressure to make the numbers really high now that it does not take an ability slot)
- Allow Changes new ability: Auto attack modifier with increased bug duration. Buffed attack range. (Still let attacks apply passive but with a strict cooldown)
- Payload size increases and no longer increases while channeling. Back to damage per second (Reduces reliance on hitting Q first)
- Overlay Network no longer deals bonus damage per debuff. Lower damage and cooldown. Now applies full duration debuffs to secondary enemies. (Pivot to more utility role)
19/11/24 (With thanks to TheGreatGimmick)
- Implant Bug now costs mana and effects are buffed. Other spells have lower cost while this is not toggled on. Swapped to Q. (Gives more emphasis to choose the right targets)
- Reduced attack range (Harder to apply the bugs than with spells)
- Force Quit Program higher cooldown with higher damage
- Payload lower cooldown with lower flat damage. Size increases over channel. Cycle rate improved from 0.5 seconds to 0.4 seconds (Shift to more utility role than damage and much smoother gameplay)
