Description
Yerxex gathers charges from fallen corpses when landing the killing blow on enemy or denying allied units. Each charge grants +1 attack damage and +0.1 armor. Maximum charges increase with hero level.
Lore
Once, he was a nameless man of flesh and blood — a husband, a father, a mortal like any other. His peaceful life was shattered when bandits tore apart his family: his daughter taken, his wife defiled and slain, and himself left for dead. Clutching his wife's lifeless body in despair, he cried out to the darkness. The darkness answered.
From the forest mists came a voice, neither man nor beast, promising the power to avenge. All it demanded was a single act of devotion: “Consume her flesh.” Driven by grief and madness, the man obeyed. As he tasted death, the voice became a laugh, a laugh that solidified into a book bound in human skin — his wife’s skin. From that moment, the man was no longer whole. His flesh rotted, his soul fractured, and his heart was bound to the cursed tome.
Now called Yerxex of Frozentomb, half man and half corpse, he stalks the battlefield with his macabre relics: the skull-staff of his beloved, and the book that whispers for more flesh. His mind is a constant war between the broken father and the puppet of the tome. Some say he is long forgotten, a tale to frighten children. But others whisper of a ranger in the woods… a girl who might yet carry his blood.
