DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

Leuwen (pronounced LOO-win) is geared almost exclusively towards ganking and teamfighting. She is at her best when in the center of teamfights, allowing her to gain unobstructed vision of the fight with Bury and to separate enemies from one another with Predator's Curse. Seismolocation allows her to detect enemies, opening opportunities for counter-ganks and daring deep enemy jungle smokes. It has it's drawbacks, however, as it has no effect if no enemy hero casts a spell within the 10 second window. Preferably, it would also show the enemy a debuff when they are seen by Leuwen's team. Her whole kit is built around the utility of bury, which can be used as an escape, as lockdown, or even simply as a way to gain vision for your carries. I imagine she would probably be best utilized as an offlaner or support, as her skills do very little damage themselves. I also tried to design the talents to provide both offensive and defensive changes to abilities, as I think Leuwen would be disgustingly good in a late-game turtling situation but that kinda goes to waste if it never gets to that point. The combo I had in mind (requires shard) goes as follows: Q > W (enemy gets pushed out of Q area, gets silenced) > E > W (pops up because buried, lifting enemies). This combo will only do about 600 damage max (depending on resistances, talents, and how long enemy stands in Q), so it is IMPERATIVE that you always have a buddy when going on someone.

Lore

Lore isn't my thing. But Leuwen is a sorta anthropomorphic centipede-like bug. I imagine her looking similar to the pokemon Scolipede, but with a bit more beetle influence (hence the digging). I like to think her race communicates in ways that don't involve making mouth sounds, so her voice lines would probably be pretty similar to weaver's in that way. The basis of this idea was that a big bulky disruptive Strength bug-hero would be a cool addition to the game, as we only have sleek and skittery bugs so far. This bug can SLAM and GO UNDERGROUND and CURSE THE EARTH.
