DESCRIPTION & LORE
Description
His Q (Mistborn Wapiti) summons deer that give buffs to allies in the form of bonus armor and move speed. The deer work best in siege scenarios, as they provide healing when stood still and their move speed proves critical in time of disengage and kiting. As well as this, they provide a small amount of crowd control in the form of a stun when they are summoned, although the deer themselves are only resistant to physical damage, as their armor is high and their magic resist is low, and are best suited to being behind a frontliner or on the side of the fight.
His W (Ambiguous Karma) has a passive charge building component for when you attack enemies, and has an active that uses the charges to restore Folwin's mana and units in a targeted area. The ability incentivizes early trading, and keeps the role of healing-support more active as you move into the lategame and will do more than just wait for spells to get back off cooldown.
His E (Elven Efficiency) reiterates on the idea of attacking enemies for team support by increasing Folwin's attack range up to 550 (650 with talent) and giving his attacks a chance to do magic damage. Skilling this ability in tandem with Karma will make the stack building much safer and do more damage in turn with the bonus magic damage.
His R (Mind over Might) is a charge based buff ability, giving an allied unit heal amplification, magic resistance, and reduces the spell damage and move speed of enemies in the area around them. With a short charge restore time and up to 3 charges (5 with talent) the only thing holding the spell back is its high mana cost per cast and its short cast range. Although the ability is primarily best for buffing carries, it can be used in a core build on Folwin himself to gain a heavy amount of tank for long periods of time, working well with lifesteal and heal items (Satanic, SnY, lifesteal talent) and allowing him to turn into a sustain based team fighter.
His Aghanim's Shard upgrade grants his D (Mistborn Rabbit) which is an active that summons a rabbit to help gain map control. As a support the true sight it provides provides a great dewarding resource (provided a 1400 gold investment) and the Rabbit Holes it can cast last up to 5 minutes and will root any enemy that walks into it without detection.
His Aghanim's Scepter upgrade changes his E (Elven Efficiency) by increasing the damage proc chance and making all magic procs splash in radius around the attacked units. This is the primary item for playing this hero as a core, as it accelerates his farm a massive amount and allows him to pick apart heavy unit based comps from afar, provided he has the damage to boot. Because the item is locked behind a 4200 gold payway, it is advised to buy it as the first major item to amplify his farm early alike a gyrocopter would with his Aghs or an AM would with a Battlefury.
