There was never a single knight in the Crusades who could go to heaven after death. Holyly and relentlessly carrying the word of God at the edge of their swords was their desire during conquests, truly. But by lowering the sword, every crusader became a sinner. Each crusader, imagining himself a hero, gave free rein to the sins of gluttony, lust and laziness. Paul alone remained a crusader even at the end of the campaign, and before the start of the next one. Having lived ten glorious years, hanging his sword on the wall and lying in his modest bed, having not tasted a single sinful sweetness in his entire life, the crusader retired. But. A few seconds later, Paul’s eyes opened, spreading a radiant golden glow throughout the chambers. The Virgin Mary returned his ascended spirit to the immaculate body of the holy knight. He will continue to fight. Fight like the one true crusader.
