Upon activation the crown starts accumulating charges at 10 per second (spaced evenly along the second) up to a cap of 100. the item grants different bonuses to spellcasting depending on how much charge it has at the moment. Casting a spell turns the active off. (the item cannot be turned off by any other means.) While the item is not active it loses charges at the same rate it gained them. allowing the charge to reach 100 will deal 25% max hp damage to the user, hex them for 3 seconds and sets the charge back to 0.
