Amber, The Thunderblight

Amber the Thunderblight is a strength melee hard carry that lacks mobility and is extremely weak in the early to mid game. However, should she be allowed to build up her power there is little her enemies can do to kill her. She is of moderate difficulty to play and very item dependent. Generally, her laning is bad and she is very susceptible to ganks. Stuns may be effective but only on an Amber that can’t cast Discharge. Silences paired with slows and break are the most effective way to disable her. The best way to deal with her is exploiting her glaring weaknesses such as her underwhelming HP with intense single-instance burst damage, her reliance on mana by getting her mana burned, or rushing to win the game before it goes late. But make no mistake - once the game goes on long enough, there will be no item or hero that can stop the Thunderblight.

Lore & Flavor

Northeast of Mt. Joerlak, nestled in its shadow was a land known as the Amber Highlands, named as such for the constant amber slag on the hills that formed from the repeated, violent lightning strikes. It was said that the Highlands were a prison for the storm that never ended, and adventurers who dared to explore were never heard from again. Moments after Mt. Joerlak's eruption, the storm grew and enveloped the highlands and surrounding region, before coalescing at the summit. Thunder echoed throughout the land, and in two strikes of lightning there stood the humanoid form of the storm. Taking the name Amber, the cumulonimbus known as the Thunderblight defies destiny with every step she takes. For she is the embodiment of adaption, the antithesis of stagnation.
