Non-hero units that die under Deadbolt will be temporarily reanimated under Tethrax' control with full HP and Mana and are able to use spells. Hero units that are reanimated have full HP without Mana. They cannot use spells or items, but have their passives intact. Reanimated heroes receive bonus incoming damage. If the reanimated enemy Hero buys back, the reanimated corpse immediately dies.

Tethrax forms an indefinite soul pact with an allied hero, granting them benefits of the Life Force. Allied heroes with a Soul Pact use Life Force to absorb a percent of incoming damage of all types as long as there is Life Force present. Soul Pact is only broken when Tethrax or the hero dies, or if a Soul Pact is placed on another hero. The pact still persists even when no Life Force is in the pool.

Tethrax decomposes his physical form to transform into the Life Force itself. Tethrax continuously heals allied heroes equally around him every second by draining first from his excess Life Force pool before draining his HP, while damaging and harvesting Life Force from nearby enemy heroes. Dreadspring disarms Tethrax, but he can still use spells. Tethrax himself is not healed by Dreadspring. Dreadspring does not end when there is no Life Force left, and is determined by duration only. Dreadspring does not kill Tethrax.
